Title:   Causal ordering and quantum gravity
Abstract:
We will present an introduction into the topic of causal order of events (or lack thereof) in the context of quantum gravity. In particular, after a short overview of the simple toy-model of Regge quantum gravity (RQG) coupled to some suitable matter field, we will propose a strategy to effectively study the causal order of events in various background gravitational fields. The RQG model will then enable us to discuss situations where the causal order between two events is not uniquely defined.
