Title:   Does time exist?
Abstract:
In this lecture we shall discuss the concept of time and the way it is introduced in physics, in particular in the simplest case of classical Newtonian mechanics. The intuitive, phenomenological and theoretical aspects of time will be analyzed using the simple two-pendulum thought experiment. The aim is to understand in which scenarios one can or cannot introduce the concept of time. The lecture assumes only an elementary knowledge of Newtonian mechanics, and is aimed at broad audience.
